Set in the hills behind above the coastline and overlooking Ravello, the village of Scala is well known locally for the excellent traditional home cooking of the restaurant La Margherita. The small hotel of Villa Giuseppina is owned by the same family about 400m away. The hills above, with their breathtaking views of the Amalfi coast, are a paradise for walkers and the family will happily advise the best paths. A large map of local walks decorates the restaurant wall. On a terrace 70 steps below the hotel a large swimming pool (may - oct weather permitting) offers wonderful views and occasional musical evenings are held here by Enzo and his family.
