Once the summer residence of the noble Sersale family who moved from Naples to Positano during World War II, Le Sirenuse is today a splendid 18th century Palace turned luxury Hotel. The name Le Sirenuse comes from the Mermaids Islands which Ulysses crossed during his mythical travels: from every vantage point of the hotel, it is possible to view the mythical islands which still seem to refrain those ancient sounds. Via the rich Sersale family heritage, Le Sirenuse offers its guests the feeling and comfort of a family home. Most of the furnishings, paintings and objects of art have been passed from generation to generation and now decorate the Sirenuse. The hotel's architecture has been deeply influenced by the Moorish style with its arched vaults which lead to the terraces overlooking the breathtaking bay.
